How to master your mindset
Thrive Thursday Newsletter

Hey there,
ICYMI, 2 weeks ago I shared my 3 Key Mindsets for Sustainable Leadership ebook.
I’d love to hear your thoughts -
Which mindset do you need to get to work on?
The thing with mindset work -
(compared to communication tips, productivity hacks, and delegation strategies)
Is that it’s not straight forward.
It’s not fast.
It’s definitely not easy.
SO to help you along in this journey, today I’m sharing 5 questions to help you develop your leadership mindset.
Now, look, I know you might be skeptical -
You might think you don’t have time for personal, and professional development stuff.
You’re worried about work emergencies and your growing to-do list.
You’re over-thinking, over-working, and over-managing to get everything done -
You want to be more efficient and effective…
But you’re stretched so thin and there’s too much pressure.
You feel like you just have to keep pushing… there’s no time to take space.
Most of my clients start out feeling this way too.
But, something happens when they prioritize their development:
Time opens up.
They see how much power they actually have in their workplace -
They find more control over their work, their energy - and their time.
The same can happen for you if you develop your leadership mindset and rewire unhelpful thinking patterns.
SO - as promised - below are 5 questions to help you become the best leader you can be.
MY ASK: Schedule 5 min (that’s right just 5) everyday over the next 5 days -
To reflect on these questions, 1 at a time:
Which of the 3 mindsets is lacking in my life? What recurring thoughts get in the way of this mindset?
What triggers these thoughts to pop up? How do they make me feel (physically, mentally)?
What impact do these thoughts have on how I show up in life? What is the cost of letting them guide me?
If someone on my team or in my family came to me challenged by these thoughts, what would I say to them?
What thoughts / beliefs could replace these unproductive ones?
Answering these questions will help you break the reactive habits that keep you on-call 24/7, distracted by every fire, and terrified of making a mistake.
You’ll be able to breathe amidst chaos & pressure.
Remember 5 minutes for 5 days (that’s less than 30 minutes).
If you claim you don’t have that time… you need this more than anyone 😉
Happy reflecting,
Alex
